This is a suggestion that may be not too difficult to implement:

Courier intercept:
Player BLUE starts in a lighly armed fast courier on the on the map his mission: try to reach and escape across the BLUE border on the other side of the map.
RED: mission, prevent player BLUE to escape across the BLUE red border. RED will set up near the blue border, or to the left or right side of the map. (random / choose)
RED could either have one or two intercepts I think two are needed or it will be to easy for BLUE to escape

BOTH teams score points for "kills"as usual BLUE player score additional points for escaping with the courier as if the RED TEAM committed suicide.



Convoy variant:
BLUE team
BLUE ONE is a slower/ less manouvrable freighter with lots of mass (armor) but lightly armed. BLUE TWO a fighter escort. Team mission: try to reach and escape across the RED border on the other side of the map with the Freighter.

RED TEAM:
RED ONE / TWO : Two (or more) identical fighters mission prevent player BLUE to escape across the red border. RED will set up near the red border, or to the left or right side of the map. (random / choose)

Pirate variant for convoy: RED TEAM deploys custom build fighters.
We may need some new designs for the freighters.maybe one for each race and a free-trader.

BOTH teams score points for "kills"as usual BLUE players score additional points for escaping with the courier or freighter as if the RED TEAM committed suicide.

This will give the BLUE team a choice: Either fight and destroy the RED interceptors OR try to escape. This will give BLUE a chance to win even when using a an unarmed ship

As this system uses "game and scoring mechanics"that already exist I expect it will not be too hard to program, it uses the same scenario balancing mechanisms.


here is another suggestion

Same side scenarios. Imagine a convoy raid or bombing run with all players on one side.
Players will try to maximize their personal score but if the victory condtions for the scenario are not met by the team NO one will score.
