Is there a way to capture the number of the turn a person surrenders? It would be nice to have this factored against the points the "loser" gets.

You are right there, but unfortunately that info is one of the few that do not get saved into the db. Sorry

How is it a bad thing if someone surrenders early? If I realize I'll get killed in a couple of turns I surrender no matter how long the game's gone on.

Of course it would be a lot easier to handle if one could surrender and be automoved so that the other players don't have to wait you to click "done" every turn!
